The ancient Greek aphorism"know yourself"is renowned by all of us in the world.Actually I don't mean to make the topic more complicated, but deep inside I think the process of knowing myself is pretty challenging for me.And that's why I've been thinking for a while before I started writing.
From outside in,I'm a easy-going girl because I wear a smile on my face all the time.I have a colorful childhood, little work but loads of joyful experiences with my friends and families which I regard as the reason of my being open-minded and not so worldly.I major in Environmental Science but I also have many plans for learning history, politics, basic economics, something like that, because I'm eager to keep the balance of my thinking, kinematically, through the way that not only strengthen my ability of scientific thinking but also absorb basic arts to coordinate.
But as you know, every single person who live in the every single cultural background and humanistic environment must have some intrinsic distinctions from others. In terms of me,I think the trait of myself is CHANGE.
It's a bit vague but here comes my elaboration.
I didn't have enough opportunities to go abroad frequently, but I visited 33 provinces in my homeland given that China has 34 provinces in total.I try to seize every chance to go outside and communicate with people from different places holding different patterns of civilization, including food, housing, dressing, colloquialism, etc.Sometimes I camp in a forest surrounded by unbroken, magnificent mountains, sometimes I stroll on a street in a small town by myself and gaze the setting sun in the end of the vista, sometimes I just do nothing but sit at the table tasting the great dishes served by local residents. Those experiences make me change, both in minds and in action.I become receptive to people and some social phenomena, and less cynical.Psychologically speaking,I consider it to be a interesting processing and shifting, sometimes even myself has no idea about how I got my points of view changed over certain subtle thing. In china, there is an old saying,"To travel is a better way than to read."If you want your life more sophisticated, more refined and more various, then you need to travel as much as you can.
Do the things from different angels, meet different occasions, find multiple answers to one question.
But to sum up(Unconsciously I've written too much, hope it won't bother you when you are drinking your morning tea,lol...),as far as I'm concerned,if some of you guys wanna go for a trip around CA,plz dont feel hesitate to contact me~
And have a nice day with your sessions!!!:):):):):)
Wow,it's so amazing that you have been most place of China!
ReplyDeleteBecause I just ever been to Beijing only! Tim
From today's group work, I think you are a awesome girl with sagaciousness, also I guess you are unique and have great personality. Compared with you, I feel slightly inferior. After knowing your experience, I just want to say: Oh my god! I eagerly need to enrich my skills and experience~
