Interview (Daniel)
I interviewed with a Cal student who was in charge of a reception desk of my residence house. He is from San Jose and he has been studying biology for one year. When I asked him why he chose UCB, he answered that this school was close to his house. I think it is important for students to have easy access to their school. He also said to me that it was hard to get admitted to UCB. What he likes most about this school is "diversity" which UCB has. I agree with him because communication with people who have different background has a good influence on me in every way. On the other hand, he doesn't like academic stress. It is sure that I also don't like academic stress, but people can develop as humans through it, so it's important for students. Finally, When I asked him where he liked to just hang out on campus, he answered that he liked to hang out in residence house. This is a good answer for me, because I live in the residence house and he works in the residence house as a part-time job. When I tried to do this homework, I hesitated to ask 9 questions to a person who I don' know. However, this is also a good experience for me.
