Self-Introduction posted by Jeremy Zhao

Hi, everyone! This is Jeremy Zhao from mainland China.

I was born in Tianjin and currently studying in Renmin University of China in Beijing, majored in human resource management. It's an interesting major while many people do not understand it well - cause I was often asked by my relatives with "is it to do with some kind of birth control?" And some people think its a major helping bad bad employers to exploit their employees :(  Well, these thoughts are all misunderstandings. It's the kind of knowledge systematially explain how an individual begin, achieve and end his job career and help both employers and employees to make their work effective and efficient :)
My hometown, Tianjin, is one of the most worth living cities in China. Though sometimes effected by fogs, its beautiful and tidy during clear days. Many old style buildings dated back to colonial times can be found here and attracting thousands or tourists to  visit every year.
I have widely spread hobbies including reading, competing games and animations. For reading, i just finished Clash of Civilizations from Samuel Huntington. Both the book and the author are full of controversy, but i really appreciate the very breaking-through ideas brought up in this book. For gaming, I am a crazy fan for Starcraft 2 and have got a platinum rank as a protoss player in Chinese server. Combat in the game is really fierce and enjoyable.
For the coming six weeks, we'll work together for achieve more in English and knowledge about American culture, which would create so many chances to communicate and interact with each other, so I really wish that we could share precious memories when the session ends :)

  1. Hello Joble...Jeremy! This is Massy:)
When I see your post first time, I was fascinated by the picture of your city! It's so beautiful. Tianjin must be rich in history, and their old buildings must be able to lead us to the good old days. Japan is full of the buildings that look the same with each other, so I feel bored when I walk around in Japanese cities. I hope I could be born in the city like Tianjin!
I'm also interested in your major, though I don't no so much about human resource management. What is the ultimate goal of that study? Please tell me about it when you have the time to talk with me:)
Let's make this 6 weeks the precious days together! Thank you.
    Massy
