At the beginning, we were not familiar with the subway of Berkeley, it was not similar to Chinese subway. We should distinguish between different color lines in case we boarded the wrong train. However we were lucky enough that the coming train was exactly what we were waiting for. After several quarters, we arrived in Embarcadero and our first destination was Fisherman's Wharf. We looked around and took photos as we walked. There were so many interesting things along the way, such as weekend street market, a singer who played instrument made by garbage can, great street painting artists and so on.
But the weather was not very well, it was so cloudy that we could not catch sight of Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz. Also there were only four seals on seals' landing place because of the bad weather. Nevertheless, when we were ready to go to another destination, the sun came out. We were frustrated because we needed to go according to the schedule. What a pity!
The next destination were Chinatown and the union square. We had lunch in Chinatown, and the rice and Chinese dishes reminded us of hometown. And the most exciting thing happened in union square. There were so many shopping malls around the square and I found a big sale on Macy's. Many clothes were at a discount and there was a clothing activity that named "buy one get two free". I was crazy about bargain and called Kris to go go for it together. Kris and I spent a lot of time selecting cheap clothes, we chose a lot and the price is the equal of 6$ per piece. How exciting! When I put on my new clothes I found that the color was the same with flag of Germany. Did it forebode that Germany will win the world cup? That's interesting!
