bulb
- a plant or flower grows out of it (a bulb), this part is usually buried in the earth

fibrous
-knotty or stringily

bundled
-tie together or pack together


Third paragraph:

staple
-most important food or basic foods

amino acids
-biologically organic substance or compound, it's an ingredient and important for your body

-living, staying alive

seasoning
- things to make food taste better

gasshopper
- an insect that has long back legs for jumping and that makes short loud noises

locale
- the place where something happens

portion
- a part of something larger, especially a part different from the other parts

the third paragraph:
reside
-In this article, it means someone live there or stay there if they reside in sp.. It also has another meaning, representing exist or something has this quality.

tannic acid
-It's a kind of chemical. It can be extracted from oak wood or acorn sometimes. It is unedible but can be used in medication.

leach out
-It means to remove or be removed from a substance by percolating liquid. Then the bigger one will stay and the smaller will dissolve in the liquid.

mush
-In this article, it means a kind of food. You mix more flour with less water then you can get a bow of flour mush. It is soft, sticky paste.


the forth paragraph:
rodent
- It is a kind of small mammals which all have big front teeth sticking out of their mouth. Mice, rats, squirrels and beavers are all rodents.
