My weekend was somewhat atypical for me. I’ve recently
returned back to the United States and I have not been in my house for a while.
Also, my family was still away, as I returned early to start teaching again. So
this weekend I was on my own in San Francisco. Since it is very hard for me to
get house projects done when I have two kids running around making noise and a
big mess, I decided to spend my time getting the house in better shape. One
thing that I have wanted to do for years now is get the pair of stereo speakers
we have off the floor; they take up too much valuable space in the house. So I
went online and learned how to hang speakers from the ceiling. You can see from
the photos how I achieved my goal. I used two cargo nets and hooks normally
used for hanging plants to create a secure hanging space for my speakers. The
music now sounds amazing in our living room. I learned a lot about how to drill
holes into the wall and I now have a new sense of self-confidence. My family
returned home yesterday and I was glad to show them our ‘new’ living room!
