My question is:
When do you use the Present Perfect Simple and when do you use the Present Perfect Continuous?
There are several differences between Present Perfect Simple and Present Perfect Continuous.
1.Both Present Perfect Continuous and Present Perfect Tense can show the effects influenced by the action. The former one is expressed directly, but the latter one shows the eventual result.
2.Sometimes,Present Perfect Simple shows a action happened in the past, not specific. But till now, the action is completed.
Present Perfect Continuous shows a action happened in the past, till now it has not been suspended, which it possible to continue to the future.
For example, I have phoned him.
She has been talking on the phone for three hours.
3. Sometimes,Present Perfect Continuous shows a action is repeated, usually connected with "usually" "often" "everyday".
But Present Perfect Simple is unable to show this aspect.
For example, have you been meeting her recently?(often have a meeting)
have you met her recently?
